How to Build More Self Confidence Just Being Yourself

Learning how to build more self confidence is something that everyone will bring an abundance of benefits.  Just think about how it’s easier to maximize your potential when you have natural self-confidence.  Simply everything in your life is much easier, either in your love life, your career, achieving personal goals or taking care of your body.  Raising self-esteem is the perfect way to shake the dust off your skills and talents and ensure they get utilized.  So for that reason, I decided to give this simple strategy on how to build confidence in yourself by being yourself.

(This simple philosophy has been developed over millennium by the Greeks and is still used today)

Know Thyself

The first step in learning how to build more self confidence by being yourself is to understand more about who you really are.  Most times, low self esteem is the result of giving too much weight to the opinions of others and to allow external circumstances to determine your of their self-respect.  Start finding ways to stop these distractions and see what actually happens in your mind. A great way to do this is to write down your thoughts and ask you what is really important to you.

The longer you continue this exercise, the more you’ll see that self confidence is a process of self-discovery instead of a process of trying to become someone else.  It is also a good idea to start studying how your body works, how the intricacies of your mind effect you, which will help you develop a better appreciation of who you are and restore a sense of awe and wonder about you.

You will also find that the more we understand, the easier it is for you to follow the second stage of gaining more self confidence.

Control Yourself

The secret of how to build more self confidence is just learning to control and focus your thoughts and inner talk. This requires self-control, which can only be developed through intentional training … just like you can build muscle with training in a gym.  The reason many people never develop discipline is that they often view it as a constraint of their freedom, which is not true.   With greater mastery over your actions and thoughts, the more independent  you are to use your actions and thoughts to obtain the things you really want in your life.  Actually, the more skilled you are at guiding yourself the quicker you will build self confident in your abilities to make and keep commitments to yourself and others.  This will help you get to the final stage of building self-esteem.

Give Yourself

When you begin to learn more about yourself and learn to control himself, you will instinctively start looking for a way to use your new sense of confidence to help others.  The reason for this is a spiritual need to give someone a sense of purpose and reinforces the understanding of their own value.  If you think about it, most people living in insecurity usually isolate themselves from others through something called “self-denial.”  But the pursuit of a goal that focuses on making a contribution to others can help you stop focusing on your own insecurity and hardship.

The more you practice these three steps, the more you can achieve your ultimate self … the person you’ve always known in your heart.  It then becomes a source of inspiration to others that your life becomes a representation of the principles of how to build self-confidence.
